When it comes to measuring thermal energy consumption, industry professionals are saddled with questions like What is a BTU meter? or How do I calculate BTU? or What is BTU consumption?
A BTU meter measures the thermal energy content of liquid flow in British Thermal Units (BTU) or in kilocalories (Kcal), even sometimes in kW. But this KW has nothing to do with electrical KW.
Manas is a leading Indian manufacturer of BTU meters who can provide a solution for calculating the BTU or measuring the BTU consumption with their BTU meters with communication support like BACnet and MODBUS with LAN ports.
A BTU meter (also called a heat meter) comprises a combination of a flow meter with temperature sensors that measure energy consumption in any liquid heating or cooling system. These are also called energy meters and are used to bill the end user for his/her air conditioning energy usage. A BTU meter can also be used to measure the performance of energy-saving equipment and loss of efficiency within a heating or cooling system, which means revenue loss. They are also required in heat recovery systems to find out the quantum of recovered heat.

Electromagnetic Flow Meter
Manas Microsystems is India’s leading Electromagnetic Flow Meter supplier. We have been recognized as one of India’s top Electromagnetic Flow Meter manufacturers recently. We make electromagnetic flowmeters with various sizes, materials, and liner materials to suit users’ requirements.
Electromagnetic Flow Meter is widely used for the flow measurement of conducting fluids. These are used for the measurement of drinking water as well as wastewater applications, any dirty liquids that are conductive or water-based, raw water, etc. The sensor works on Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction. The new sensors are more compact in size and more sensitive. Earth ring or earth electrode: both options are available. Empty tube detection is also provided. The transmitter complies with IP67 & Sensor complies with IP68.
The Electromagnetic Flow Meter has the unique feature of having full bore flow; hence, the meter does not obstruct the flow of the liquid being measured. This means no pressure drop, and hence the results of Electromagnetic Flow Meters are more accurate.
Manas Flow Meters are field-proven, and we have thousands of installations in India and around the world. We have a calibration set up in accordance with NABL requirements
Full Bore Type Electromagnetic Flow Meters, Insertion Type Electromagnetic Flow Meter, Wafer Style Electromagnetic Flow Meter, Sanitary/Food Grade Electromagnetic Flow Meter, Mega Sroat-MS1010 (DN400 to DN1600), Battery Operated Electromagnetic Flow Meter, are some of the types of Electromagnetic Flow Meters that Manas makes.
Manas is an Electromagnetic Flow Meter Manufacturer that has the capacity to manufacture, assemble, test, and calibrate all flow meters in-house. Very few flow meter manufacturers have this capability.
We are glad to inform you that our smallest bore electromagnetic flow has just been released. One of the smallest bore sizes in the world, this flowmeter has a tiny bore size of just 2 mm. Now with this smallest flow meter, we can meet a flow range as small as 30 LPH. Manas is now among the very few manufacturers in the world who make such small-size electromagnetic flowmeters.

Ultrasonic Flow Meter
Manas Microsystems is India’s leading Ultrasonic Flow Meter manufacturer and supplier company. We have been recognized as one of India’s Top Flow Meter manufacturers recently. A comprehensive range of ultrasonic flow meters is available from us, including Bulk Type Ultrasonic Flow Meters, Clamp-on Type Ultrasonic Flow Meters, and Insertion Ultrasonic Flow Meters, Portable Ultrasonic Water Flow Meter and Handheld Ultrasonic Water Flow Meter. For the volumetric metering of water, ultrasonic flow meters have been used in businesses and markets for a long time.
Many engineers are interested in knowing how an ultrasonic flow meter works.
There are two types of Ultrasonic Flow Meters. One works on the Transit Time or Time of Flight principle. The second one works on the Doppler Effect principle.
Manas makes Transit Time-based Ultrasonic Flow Meters.
The transit time meter is used for clear liquids or liquids having very low levels of undissolved solids.
When the ultrasound wave passes through the liquid the component of liquid velocity is added to ultrasound velocity. By careful measurement of the Time required by the sound wave to reach the other end of the diameter, one can calculate accurately the water velocity. By knowing the velocity, the volumetric flow rate can be calculated.
Manas Ultrasonic Flow Meters are field-proven, give long life, and provide reliable performance. These meters hardly need any maintenance and hence are very popular amongst the users.

Thermal Mass Flow Meter
Use the same Mass flow meter for different line sizes
How do you measure the mass flow rate of gases in your industry?
Precise measurement of mass flow rates of industrial gases is important for any industry, as it relates to energy savings and process quality. Industry experts always seek an easy-to-fit and operate solution.
Manas Microsystems offers an insertion-type Thermal Mass Flow Meter, an ideal choice in such cases. This flow meter can measure both instantaneous flow rate & total flow precisely. Process pressure and temperature fluctuations pose no problem in measurements, as this flow meter does not need any pressure or temperature compensation. It can easily be installed on gas pipelines or ducts.
The sensor has no moving parts. Hence, it does not need any maintenance, except for occasional cleaning with compressed air. The sensor is straightforward to install, as one must only insert and screw it in the socket welded to the pipeline, and align the sensor, as per the instructions in the manual, on the pipeline/duct. The necessary straight length of pipe on both sides of the sensor must be ensured. The sensor is connected to the electronics, so the installation is complete. It is so simple!
